Cheek Pad, Cheek Riser, Comb raiser, what ever you call it , this rugged injected molded ABS plasic construction makes this Tactical Cheek Pad the most durable one made for the M-4 stock . Two piece base assembles around stock and is held together with top pad that slides onto rail, locking the two sides together. No tools necessary to mount or remove this cheek pad. A 1 1/4" pad is included for most optic sights and mounting on the carry handle top m-15. The pad base is designed to fit original Colt style M-4 tactical stocks and may need to be altered to fit after market and some later manufacturers stocks with different outside dimentions and bottom lug. Easily done with a dremel tool with a grinding bit.

OK But With Caveats

I purchased with for my M4 style Colt LE6940. I had to partially Dremel grind down both sides of the curves on the 2 piece base to fit the stock.
Not a problem. However, if I do not fully extend the collapsible stock (4 stops on the stock), the charging handle will hit the CR-M4 and not fully extend!Ie:...the design of this item needs to be changed to be like the CCA Cheek rest.
Very convenient no matter how high your optics are mounted

I bought this first for an AK style rifle (with collapsible stock, of course). I was so satisfied and impressed with this product that I bought a second one for an AR style rifle. The two different sized cheek pads really help the user to secure a good cheek-to-rifle contact point no matter how high the optics are mounted. Your shooting stance even improves since you don't have to unnaturally bend your neck to achieve a good cheek-to-rifle contact point. Highly recommended!
