The Leatherman Traditional Leather Products Inc. has been making products for the muzzleloading shooting sports since 1997 and in 2007 started developeing a line of shot gun shooting products. We use the finiest quality materials in all our products and require the same standards in our suppliers we buy from. All our products we make are made in Carlisle , PA USA and our products we have made are made in the USA as well.
Having started in reenacting and the building of muzzleloader rifles some 30 odd years ago , I found a need for quality leather goods at a reasonable price for the average enthusiast that had no skills or knowledge or time to make his or her own leather goods. I was in the shoe making business at the time and had all the resources necessary to start my own part time business where I became known as the Leatherman to all I sold my leathers to. In 1997 when the shoe industry closed down, I decided to make a go of it full time making motorcycle and shooting related products but that only lasted 2 years when Harley Davidson pulled all non-license products out of the dealerships. Back to working for a printing company for 4 years before 911 happened and I found myself out of that job too. I had built up enough muzzleloader related dealers and a website that I could now go full time again and I have never looked back. In 2003 I came up with the idea of a cheek pad that would raise the line of sight on a shotgun that had a scope installed on it. I called it the Accu-Riser. A local friend who’s business is injection molding helped me design a mold and I was able to sell this item to Cabela's under the Accu-riser name. I have since added 4 more versions of cheek pads to the line covering applications from hunting, target shooting to tactical uses .In 2007 I started developing a line of leather shot gun shooting accessories for sporting clays and trap and skeet. Although there is a large base of branded products already covering the shot gun shooting sports, I feel there is still room for my own designs and materials and it has been very encouraging so far. There will always be customers wanting quality leather products over the less expensive non leather versions and that is the niche I feel I fill. Please come back from time to time and check out the site as I continue to add new product to the line. Be sure to check our schedule of events to see where we will be set up displaying the product. Send us pictures of you using any of my products and I will post them on the gallery page.
