We have designed a new butt pad after a pre-wwar 1 version that was used on vintage shotguns and rifles. This all leather pad has a 1/4" neoprene rubber pad which alone helps cushion the recoil of a steel butt rifle or shotgun. This is also used to protect the engraved steel or checkered butts on fine guns allowing them to be stood on the ground or in stands without fear of scratching them. We also are offering 1/2" neoprene rubber inserts to allow a total of 3/4" extra length and extra cushioning if needed. This pad comes in 3 sizes. You must measure the height of your butt to determine the size you need. Small - up to 5", Medium 5 1/4", and Large 5 14" to 5 1/2". Strap and buckle adjusts to hold pad tightly to the stock. No more hard leather pads that wont tighten up and rattle on your gun. We advise that you do not store your gun with any leather product on it to prevent possible rusting of the steel.
